Forums Explained
This site uses the concept of forums for all communication. It is like an online bulletin board. Anyone can
create an account and post questions, answers and general information they they think others would find helpful.
A forum is essentially composed of a number of member-written conversation threads. Each thread entails a discussion or
conversation in the form of a series of member-written posts. These threads remain saved on the forum website for
future reading indefinitely or until deletion by a moderator.
A member can choose to post a new topic within any forum as well as reply to any existing topic posted by themselves or
another member.
New Topic
When reading a forum, if you would like post something new, simply click on the "New Topic" button to begin posting. If you are
not already logged in, it will prompt you for your username and password. If you don't have an account set up you can choose to
create one then as well. Once you compose and post your message, it will appear at the top of the forum for all to read.
Reply
While reading a message, if you would like to respond to it, simply click on the "reply" button. This will provide you with a place
to type in a response. If you are not already logged in it will prompt you for a username and password. If you do not have an account
you will have the opportunity to create one then. Once posted, it will appear in line with the original message thread for others to read.
Subscriptions
This forum allows you to subscribe to any conference, forum or topic. By doing this you will be sent an email any time
a new post occurs within that subject you are subscribed to. This allows members to stay connected without requiring
that they visit the site frequently. Within the email they receive, there is a link back to that thread which will
allow them to quickly jump to that thread and post a reply. Note that you must be logged in before you see the subscribe button.
